Get To Know Christa And Why She Said Yes To Being A Model

How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?

Alishia Jonas (Kendall Community Relations Manager and event Co-chair) talked with me to see if it would be ok for my son to be one of the YMCA “littles.” After I Ok’d my son ‘s participation as a YMCA “little” (model), I was talked into being a model myself and adventure through the experience together.

Why did you say yes?

I felt like it was the right thing to do.

What is your official job title?

New Car Inventory Manager

How would you describe your job to your mother?

I am lucky enough to shop for and buy cars every day.

All families are unique, tell us about yours.

My husband works out of town 4-6 weeks at a time so family time when we have it is very special.

Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.

Personal passion is traveling. We have a goal to travel to the Caribbean once a year.

What is something that you swore you would never do as a parent before you had kids that you do now?

I did not want my career to interfere with being the parent I dreamed of being.

Who inspired you when you were growing up, and why?

My grandparents. They married, raised families, and had full successful lives. They gave me inspiration and life goals.

If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?

Enjoy your youth and be a kid. There will be plenty of time as an adult to be serious.
